Stefan Arndt was born in Munich in 1961. Together with the directors Tom Tykwer, Dani Levy and Wolfgang Becker, Arndt founded the creative connection X Filme Creative Pool in 1994, and worked on these films as producer (e.g. RUN LOLA RUN, GOOD BYE, LENIN!, AMOUR, CLOUD ATLAS, ALONE IN BERLIN). With Uwe Schott he has been heading X Filme Creative Pool as Managing director.

In 2000 Stefan Arndt set up with Manuela Stehr the X Verleih AG, of which he is still a member of the managing board to this day. He was also a co-founder of the Berlin Sputnik Kollektiv.

During the years 2001-2008 he served as member of the managing board for film20 (Union of German production companies with 70% market share / Vereinigung Deutscher Produktionsfirmen mit 70% Marktanteil).

In 2008 he became a member of the board at Allianz Deutscher Produzenten Film & Fernsehen and in 2003 – 2009 he was a founding member and manager of the board of the Deutsche Film Akademie.

Uwe Schott hails from Düsseldorf, where he was born in 1966. After completing his secondary education in 1985 he worked as a freelance location manager and later as production manager for various German production companies.

After two years of professional experience as line producer for various productions in Los Angeles, he returned in 1996 as managing partner of the Modern Media Filmproduktion GmbH and was responsible for many TV productions. He was also entrusted with the management of various film funds and carried out this function with his production firm Oberon – representative for the German producers. He was responsible for properly carrying out projects through the American commissioning producer.

After further stages as producer and managing director of various production firms , Uwe Schott became CEO of X Filme Creative Pool GmbH in October 2009. Next to BABYLON BERLIN (Director and Writer: Tom Tykwer, Hendrik Handloegten, Achim von Borries), which is post-production and MITTELREICH by Josef Bierbichler, which is cureently being shot, the new film by Michael Haneke, HAPPY END, has just been completed.

After completing his studies at the HFF München and his stay abroad in the USA, Polle began working first as a producer at the Bavaria Film GmbH/Geiselgasteig, and later in the same position at Hofmann & Voges Entertainment GmbH in Munich. Here he took part in the production of the award-winning ZDF series KDD – STREETS OF BERLIN. As producer he developed and worked on the TATORT – NIE WIEDER FREI SEIN (ARD/BR), which won several awards such as the Grimme Preis and the Deutscher Fernsehkrimipreis (German TV Crime Award).

Since 2010 Michael Polle has been responsible at X Filme Creative Pool GmbH for the TV activities of the enterprise. Among his latest productions are the ARD series CROOKS LTD, the TV movie WUNSCHKINDER (WDR/Degeto) and the TATORT – DIE WAHRHEIT (ARD/BR), which too has been nominated for the Grimme Preis and the Hamburger Krimipreis (Hamburg Crime Award). In 2017 the TATORT – DER TOD IST UNSER GANZES LEBEN (ARD/BR) was broadcasted, currently the POLIZEIRUF 110 – DAS GESPENST DER FREIHEIT (ARD/BR) is in post-production.
